A Stophy API key in STOPHY_API_KEY. Get one.

No key yet? Start without one or sign in with your browser.

Add Stophy

codex mcp add stophy --url https://api.stophy.dev/mcp --bearer-token-env-var STOPHY_API_KEY

This writes the following to ~/.codex/config.toml. Codex reads the key from STOPHY_API_KEY each time it starts, so the key is never saved to the file.

To also get one tool per endpoint for some sources, use https://api.stophy.dev/mcp?toolsets=reddit,youtube as the URL.

Check it

Run codex mcp list, or type /mcp in Codex. Then try:

Use Stophy to get the transcript of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ and summarize it.
