# Cursor

> Add Stophy to Cursor as a remote MCP server so its agent can search the web and pull live data from 161 endpoints across 41 sources.

## Prerequisites

* [Cursor](https://cursor.com)
* A Stophy API key in `STOPHY_API_KEY`. [Get one](https://stophy.dev/signup).

No key yet? Start [without one](/mcp-server/keyless) or [sign in with your browser](/mcp-server/oauth).

## Add Stophy

Add this to `~/.cursor/mcp.json` on your machine. Replace `YOUR_STOPHY_API_KEY` with your key:

Keep this file private because it contains your key. Restart Cursor after saving it.

To also get one tool per endpoint for some sources, use `https://api.stophy.dev/mcp?toolsets=reddit,youtube` as the URL.

## Check it

Open the MCP section of Cursor Settings and check that `stophy` is on and lists its tools. Then ask the agent:
