# Find the right endpoint

> Search the live Stophy catalog by keyword, browse it by category, or read one endpoint's full input before you write a call.

Stophy has 161 endpoints across 41 sources. Three ways to find the one you need: search the catalog, browse by category, or read one endpoint's input.

## Search the catalog by keyword

The catalog lists every endpoint with its id, summary, cost, and whether it needs a key.

<CodeGroup>
  ```bash cURL theme={null}
  curl -s https://api.stophy.dev/v1/endpoints \
    | jq -r '.endpoints[] | select(.id | contains("video")) | "\(.id): \(.summary)"'
  ```

  ```bash CLI theme={null}
  stophy endpoints video
  ```
</CodeGroup>

```text theme={null}
youtube.video: Get a video's title, channel, views, likes and description
tiktok.video: Get a video's caption, stats and music
kick.videos: Get a channel's past streams
```

Drop the keyword to list all 161: `curl -s https://api.stophy.dev/v1/endpoints` or `stophy endpoints`.

## Browse by category

Each page under [What you can get](/sources/web) lists every endpoint for one category, with its cost and a call you can copy.

## Read one endpoint's input

Once you have an id, read its full input schema and an example call.

<CodeGroup>
  ```bash cURL theme={null}
  curl -s https://api.stophy.dev/v1/endpoints \
    | jq '.endpoints[] | select(.id == "youtube.search")'
  ```

  ```bash CLI theme={null}
  stophy describe youtube.search
  ```
</CodeGroup>

The [API reference](/api-reference/introduction) has the same schema for every endpoint, with its required fields, defaults, and limits. Unknown input fields are rejected with a `400`.

Over [MCP](/mcp-server), the `stophy_search_endpoints` tool runs this same search for your agent.
